Obituary

Victor A. Hormandl, age 92, was born July 31, 1925 at Swanton, NE to Anton and Francis (Pavlik) Hormandl along with his twin-sister Victoria Hormandl. He went to be his Lord on February 16, 2018. Victor was a loving husband, father and Grandfather. Victor served in the US Army in November of 1945 and served with Company B 67th Armored Tank Battalion 2nd Armored Division in the Aleutian Islands during WWII after graduation from high school. After returning home, he helped his father on the family farm in Swanton. Later enrolled at the University of Nebraska. In recent years he has owned and operated several businesses in North Platte. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ladd, Anton, Mike, and Aldrich Hormandl, sisters, Olga Pivonka Victoria Hormandl, and Velesta Kubicek. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, son, Gary (Linda) Hormandl, daughter, Susie (Gary) Huber, grandson, Tony (Lindsay) Hormandl, and great-grandsons, Brixton and Brooks Hormandl. Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell with military honors.
