Wayne Gress
Wayne Gress, of North Platte, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 9, 2014 at his home with his daughter, Connie at his side. He was born Jan. 19, 1927 in North Platte. Wayne graduated from North Platte High School. He married Phyllis Barry November 18, 1949, on Phyllis's family farm, southwest of Sutherland. After their marriage they raised a family and farmed southwest of Sutherland for 30 years before moving to North Platte in 1979. Wayne loved his wife, Phyllis and his daughter, Connie with all his heart and did everything he could do to make them happy and he succeeded. They did everything together. Wayne enjoyed his lawn work, dogs and vegetable garden, which he shared with his neighbors. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis of 63 years. He is survived by his daughter, Connie (Mark). Private family services will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermeorial.com.
