William "Bill" E. Peck, Sr., 87, of North Platte, NE passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Great Plains Health Hospital.

Bill was born on September 19, 1935 in North Platte, NE the son of Carl and Ruth (Edis) Peck.  He grew up in North Platte and attended North Platte high school.  He married Elvina J. Bruce on November 12, 1955 and together they had four children.  Bill worked for most of his career with the Union Pacific railroad and retired in 1997.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in his younger years racing cars.  He also liked pitching horseshoes and bowling.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Elvina; daughters, Cindy Bohlen of North Platte, and Rhonda (Bill) Powers of North Platte; sons, Bill (Emily) Peck, Jr. of McCook, and Bruce (Jannet) Peck of North Platte; grandchildren, Jeromie (Lisa) Yonker, Billy (Ashley) Yonker, Sara (Hunter) Eller, Molly (Ben) Kranda, Beth (Jeremane) McCray, Daniel (Karly) Peck, Thomas Peck, and William Klatt; great grandchildren, Madison, Cari, Breanna, Emily, Joey, Clay, Haley, Hunter, Hayden, Haylen, Hayze, Jordee, Treyt, Jade, Colton, Felicity, Isabel, Calan, Nathan, Carson, and Tucker; great-great-grandsons, Mateo and Kortez; sister, Carol Douglas of North Platte; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; infant great grand-daughters, Jocelynn and Maria; 2 other infant great grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, Frank (Erla) Peck and Don (Dona) Peck; brother-in-law, Dale Douglas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
